We collect nothing, because the app has nowhere to send it.

What it enumerates

While a Ricoh camera is connected over USB and the app is open, Bridge for Ricoh GR opens a read-only session and walks the camera's storage. From that it reads:

• the names of the camera's storage roots — typically internal memory and the SD card;
• the folder structure inside each storage root;
• file names and file extensions, in order to recognise DNG, JPEG, MOV and MP4 originals;
• a count of how many such originals each storage root holds.

All of this happens locally, on your iPhone or iPad, through Apple's ImageCaptureCore framework. What the app keeps is minimal: a storage name and a number, held in memory while the app runs. Nothing is written to your device's storage, to a database, to a log file, or to a preferences file, and nothing survives closing the app.

What it never does

• It never opens or copies your photographs. The app reads names, types and counts. It does not read image data, thumbnails, or embedded metadata such as EXIF or GPS from your files.
• It never uploads anything. The app has no networking code, contacts no server, and cannot send data anywhere even in principle.
• It never retains camera originals. There is no cache, no staging folder and no import library inside this app.
• It never modifies the camera. The session is read-only. Nothing on your camera is written, renamed, moved or deleted.
• It never tracks you. No analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier, no third-party software development kits.
• It never creates an account. There is no sign in, no profile, no e-mail capture and no device registration.

Where your photographs stay

Your photographs remain on the camera. When the app has finished counting, it deliberately closes its camera session and releases the USB camera device back to the system, so that Adobe Lightroom can open it. From that point the transfer is between the camera and Lightroom, and it is governed by Adobe's own terms and privacy policy, not by ours. We receive nothing at any stage.

iOS asks you once to approve access to media on an attached camera. That approval is what lets the app enumerate the connected Ricoh GR IV. It does not give the app access to your Photos library, and it does not give access to your device's built-in cameras for capture.

If you decline, the app will tell you that camera-media access was not granted and will do nothing further. You can change the decision later in the iOS Settings app. Declining has no other consequence — there is no reduced mode to unlock and no data collected either way.

Bridge for Ricoh GR requests no other permission. It does not ask for your photo library, location, contacts, calendars, microphone, Bluetooth, local network access or notifications.

This site is plain HTML and CSS. It sets no cookies, runs no JavaScript, embeds no analytics, loads no remote fonts, and includes no third-party scripts, pixels, iframes, social buttons, videos or maps. Every asset it uses is served from this same site. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

As with any website, our hosting provider necessarily handles the technical data your browser sends in order to deliver a page — such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. That data is used to serve the site and to protect it against abuse. We do not use it to profile you, we do not combine it with anything from the app, and we do not sell or share it.

Links to Ricoh, Adobe or Apple resources may appear in support material. Once you follow an external link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

If you write to hello@ws.agency or call us, we process what you choose to send: your e-mail address or phone number, and the contents of your message, including any device details or screenshots you attach.

We use it for one purpose — to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing support for our own product, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR; where you volunteer extra information, the basis is your consent.

We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for handling your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete it. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not sell, rent or share your messages, and we use no external customer-support or ticketing platform.

Please do not send us your photographs. We never need them to diagnose a connection problem, and we would rather not receive them.

Because the app collects nothing, these rights will in practice concern correspondence you have sent us. You have the right to:

• ask what personal data of yours we hold, and get a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• have our processing restricted;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form;
• withdraw consent at any time, where consent applies.

Write to hello@ws.agency and we will act on the request without undue delay, and within one month at the latest. There is no charge.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, AZOP) in Zagreb; you may instead complain to the authority in your own country of residence.

We make no automated decisions about you and carry out no profiling. We do not knowingly process data relating to children; the app is a photographic utility that collects nothing from any user, of any age.

If a future version of the app processes data differently, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date and version number at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly folded in.

This version — 1.0, effective 10 August 2026 — describes Bridge for Ricoh GR 1.0 for iPhone and iPad.
